i think all the children had naps on the way over, as they all behaved wonderfully... especially the 2 littlest ones that were all dressed up in their party dresses!!! "2 cute" is such an appropriate caption for this one!
nathaniel cooked hot dogs (supervised by my dad...)
kendal cleaned his plate, literally... he ate hot dog (about half of one), honey dew, cantaloupe, and pasta salad.
for dessert, kendal had a beautiful sponge bob cake made by ms. nancy bair of cakery "n" bakery!
look at his look of excitement for getting cake!!! (we've been practicing that one!)
first he "tasted" it with his toes...
then his thumb...
he loved the yellow edge pieces! (they were quite tasty...)
and he ate most of a piece all by himself!
then kendal opened presents - he got lots of toys and clothes!
he had such a good time playing with his friends and his new toys!
we made cute little party gifts for everyone, which included a play-doh recipe with koolaid for color and scent!
nathaniel also helped me make these little peppermint patty flowers. he punched the paper, i glued them together.
after the party, kendal took another LONG nap with katelyn (who also brought all the balloons). she gave him a bottle when he woke up,
then kendal got some chris play time!
needless to say by 8pm he was tired and ready for bed again. nathaniel gave him a bottle, and by 8.30/9pm, he was fast asleep in his crib... with his blanket on one arm and monk monk on the other!
happy birthday baby boy!
2 things.
ReplyDelete1. I love the picture of kendal banging on the wooden things with the hammer. the face he and N are making are so cute!
2. It's funny because today you said my hair looked lighter in color. looking at the picture of me giving K his bottle I think it looks SO DARK.
Happy Birthday, RKT! Hope those 1-year old check-up shots don't hurt... BTW, I enjoyed your birthday party! Your mom and dad throw a mean shindig!
