it's HALLOWEEN time  :-) 

some pictures from "aunt ah-mee" house last sunday

well, technically it was two sunday's ago.  but, who is counting?

and margot!  this was the only picture i got of her - she didn't want me to take it, but i think it turned out good!  :)

the wedding

it was incredibly hard for me to just pick "a few" of my favorites... i had 97 favorites to be exact.  i really didn't have that many bad ones - i took 343 photos and over half of them were repeats and triple-peats.

considering as i was setting up, i overtightened the tripod and broke it - i had to freehand all the shots (hold the camera by hand).  many of them were crooked - i bought adobe photoshop elements 7 which has an easy tool to straighten photos (as well as do lots of other neat tricks).  i've had a lot of fun editing these!  that is why i ended up with a long list of 24 favorite favorites!  :)

THE CAKE - which was delish - from edible art bakery (don't know what it cost, but i can assure you it was worth EVERY penny, i recommend them to any and every bride! or, anyone who just wants a piece of cake, you can buy a piece in their store any time they are open!)

the sand ceremony (part of the ceremony where everyone in the new blended family pours their color sand into one vase) - it was really nice  and the kids LOVED it as you can tell on their faces!

the eldest child made the new parents a congratulations card.  it was the sweetest thing!

holly update

we are having a repeat of last month - high fever, no other symptoms...

today, another trip to the doctor.
today, another strep test.
today, another flu test.
all negative.
clear ears.
same red throat.
same high fever.

anyway, good news is that it ISN'T the flu.
just another baby virus we guess!

jersey mikes! yum!

today melissa went to jersey mikes to get her and me lunch.  oh my goodness.  it was SO good.

she hadn't had it since college.
i hadn't had it since i left washington.

its been way too long.  and, it won't be that long until next time!  i forget how good JM's is.  they have the BEST subs (for a chain)!!!

i am SO thankful that my sister is visiting home next week!
really,  it is all i can think about.  i can't wait to see her.
and, i can't wait for my kids to play with her kids.
i bet she needs a break.
